Murdoch Rd, C-Bus Home Automation

This was a project where the plans had shown multiple dimmers per room for full control of the lighting throughout.

This would have meant multiple wall switches/dimmers which was defiantly not what they were after, upon looking over this we put forward an idea to move into a lighting control system where they can have one wall plate per room again, and also included scene control of the lighting where one switch can set a scene for lights ramped to set levels.

A Clipsal C-Bus system was agreed upon as a system that could easily control the lighting, with stainless steel screw less cover plates (only 2 mm thick) and with stylish blue indicator neon's was a great look that also enhanced the overall environment.

The finished product reflects our commitment to being able to access and design systems from the first initial meeting where firstly we listen… then put forward solutions and implement them for the best possible outcome.

"We set about rebuilding our 19 century Villa and wanted a mix of both old and modern style. Our plans called for a number of halogen lights inside and outside the house. The kitchen and outdoor entertaining area alone has approximately 60 halogens all of which were to be dimmed.

We understood that there would be many light switches and dimmers because; at the time we did not know about smart wiring. Scott from Quantum explained to us the benefits of a smart wired house and suggested the Clipsal C-Bus wiring system. The result was significant reduction in switches and dimmers and far more flexibility to our lighting plan. All in all a stylish solution to what was an ugly problem.

We have used Scott and the team from Quantum on a number of other projects because we value their contribution to the building process and the quality of their work."
